Celebration of 65th Republic Day of India by Embassy of India, Harare, on 26th January 2014
The Embassy celebrated 65th Republic Day of India at India House on 26th January 2014. The function included hoisting of the tri-colour, singing of the National Anthem and reading out of the President’s Address to the Nation by the Ambassador. Patriotic songs were played and light refreshments served on this occasion which was joined by over 120 members of the Indian community in Harare. On this occasion, a four-page supplement featuring articles on India was also taken out in the Daily News, the second largest English daily in Zimbabwe.
