The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs(MOIA), Government of India is organizing the 13th edition of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, the flagship event of the MOIA, in January 2015 at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.
The PBD Convention provides a unique platform for overseas Indians to interact among themselves and with the Government of India and the Governments of various Indian States. It is a forum where the Government of India showcases investment opportunities in India and its potential in various sectors.
In the PBD 2015, enthusiastic participation is expected from the heterogeneous, strategic and diverse overseas Indian community spread across the world. The efforts would be to have more meaningful and interactive sessions that would address the issues and concerns of the overseas Indian community effectively. Since 2015 marks the hundredth anniversary of the return of the greatest ‘Pravasi’ of all, Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa, the PBD 2015 would be celebrated in a grand way.
